Roomcart Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 22, 2026
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Roomcart (“Roomcart,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Great Dane Holdings LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Roomcart mobile app (the “App”) collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Roomcart is currently available to users in the United States only.
By using the App you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The short version
- We treat photos of your home as sensitive, private data. Your source photos are stored in private storage, are accessed only through short-lived signed links, and have location (GPS) and other camera metadata stripped from them before they leave your device.
- We use AI to restyle your room and to match items in the render to real products you can buy. Renders are AI-generated approximations, not photographs of real products.
- We earn affiliate commission when you buy a product through the App. This never changes the price you pay, and it never determines your top product match.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell your photos. We may publish aggregate, de-identified trend insights that cannot reasonably identify you.
- You can delete your account and data at any time — email us at support@roomcart.ai and we delete it, passing that deletion on to the services that process data for us. In-app account deletion is coming.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Room photos and images you upload or capture. These are the core input to the App. Before a photo is uploaded it is re-encoded to strip embedded metadata, including GPS location and other EXIF fields.
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and an authentication identifier. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier Apple provides (and only the email you choose to share).
- Content you create in the App. Restyle prompts and preset choices you enter, the renders that are generated, saved rooms, and any items you mark or save.
- Communications. If you contact support or report an image, we receive what you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Purchase and subscription information. When you start a free trial or buy a subscription (Roomcart Plus), a Project Pack, or a top-up, the transaction is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and by our subscription provider, RevenueCat. We receive a record of what was purchased and its status (including trial, renewal, cancellation, and expiration events) so we can provide what you paid for. We never receive or store your full payment card number.
- Render credits and usage. We keep a server-side record of the render credits your account has received and used — including the one-time free render every new account gets — so we can apply limits fairly and honor what you purchased.
- Usage and analytics data. We may collect information about how you interact with the App (screens viewed, features used, render and shopping events) on a masked basis that excludes your photos, prompts, and email address.
- Device and technical information. Device model, operating system, app version, and coarse network information (such as IP address / network provider) used for reliability and abuse prevention.
- Anti-abuse and integrity signals. To protect the free render and our image-generation costs, we use rate, velocity, and risk signals, and advisory device-integrity signals from Apple App Attest / DeviceCheck and Google Play Integrity. These are used to detect and limit abuse and are never the sole basis of an automated decision that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
- Affiliate click identifiers. When you tap out to a merchant to buy a product, we generate a one-time click identifier so that a resulting sale can be attributed to Roomcart for commission. We maintain an internal record of which identifiers we sent, to whom, and why.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the core experience: generate restyled renders of your room, identify items in a render, and match them to purchasable products.
- To operate shopping features and affiliate link-outs, and to attribute and reconcile commissions.
- To manage your account, free trial, subscriptions, and purchases, and to apply usage limits (including the one-time free render and fair-use limits on subscriptions).
- To keep the service reliable, secure, and free from abuse.
- To understand and improve the product, using analytics on a masked basis.
- To communicate with you about the service and respond to support requests.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
3. AI processing and the providers that see your photos
Restyling and item-matching are performed by third-party AI/image-generation and machine-learning providers that process your photo and prompt on our behalf to produce a render and to compute matches. As of the last-updated date, our image-generation provider is Google (Gemini API); we may add or change providers, and this Policy applies to any provider we use. Your photos are sent to these providers from our servers — the providers’ API keys never live in the App on your device. We contract with these providers to require that:
- they do not use your content to train their models, and
- their copy is retained only for a limited period for abuse-monitoring purposes under the provider’s terms, then deleted.
4. How we share information
We share information only as described here. We do not sell your personal information.
- Service providers (processors) acting on our behalf, including:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management (working with the Apple App Store and Google Play).
- AI/image-generation providers — render generation and item matching (see §3).
- Analytics provider — masked product analytics (if and when integrated; see §1).
- Affiliate networks and merchants (for example Amazon and other retail affiliate programs). When you tap out to shop, we pass a one-time click identifier so a purchase can be attributed for commission. Your purchase itself is made on the merchant’s own site or app under the merchant’s privacy policy, and the merchant or its affiliate network may use cookies or similar technologies on their properties to attribute the sale; attribution windows vary by program.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Roomcart.
- Business transfers. If Roomcart is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
Aggregate, de-identified insights. We may create and share aggregate, de-identified statistics about design preferences and shopping trends (for example, “demand for a material rose this quarter” or median furnishings budgets by room type). These insights are constructed so that they cannot reasonably be used to identify you or your home, and we never sell your photos or your individual personal information. We reserve this aggregate-analytics right expressly.
5. Affiliate disclosure
Roomcart participates in affiliate programs, which may include the Amazon Associates Program and other retail affiliate networks. When you buy a product after tapping a link in the App, we may earn a commission. This never changes the price you pay. Your top (“primary”) product match is always the best algorithmic match for you and is never a paid placement; any sponsored item appears only in clearly labeled “Sponsored” positions among alternates, never as your primary match.
6. How long we keep information (retention)
- Source photos used without a saved room: deleted within approximately 24 hours.
- Saved rooms and their photos: retained for 30 days by default unless you choose to keep them longer, and until you delete them or your account.
- Account records (including the purchase/credit ledger): kept while your account is active.
- When you delete your account or specific content, we delete it from our active systems and instruct our processors to delete their copies, generally within 30 days. Residual copies may persist in routine encrypted backups until those backups expire on their normal cycle.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and deletion. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@roomcart.ai from the email address on your account. We execute the deletion through our server-side deletion process (see §6 for timing). In-app account deletion is coming to the App.
- State privacy rights. Depending on your U.S. state of residence (for example, California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address in §11. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
- Device permissions. You can control camera and photo-library access in your device settings. Disabling them will limit the App’s core functionality.
- Push notifications and marketing. You can turn these off in your device or App settings.
8. Security
We store source photos in private storage that is not publicly accessible and serve them only through short-lived signed URLs. We strip location and camera metadata from images before upload. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures designed to protect your information.
9. Children’s privacy
Roomcart is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become actually aware that a user is under 13, we will delete their data. Because a photo that contains a child’s image is personal information about that child, please do not upload photos of children without appropriate consent.
10. U.S. only
Roomcart is offered only in the United States and is not intended for users outside the U.S.
